A little known fact about our 16th president of the United States was that he suffered from Major Depressive Disorder. He described this depression as a deep dark hole from which he could not climb out of at times. Like there was a tiger at the end of the bed waiting for him to get up so he could pounce on him.
It never tires me to listen to the stories of people suffering from this and offering some help, hope, or just listening. One common denominator in the lives of most of these is someone else who was emotionally abusive ussually during the childhood and suffering from the same symtoms. Later on, even when this person is no longer in their lives, they begin to self-abuse with negative thoughts and the abuse goes on....
